TRANQUIL & MINIMAL MODERN TOWNHOUSE

Completed in 2016, this project features mid-century modern minimalism and original artwork by Vivian Caits. This second Tilley Row Home has the same floor plan as our Mueller Modern Farmhouse project. From the beginning the owners requested iconic mid-century modern minimalism with organic and tribal accents so we drew from the neighbors’ love of St. Barthélemy Island as inspiration to create a calm, lush, and natural environment. With respect to each client, we believe that every piece should function well, even if that function is to bring joy. The signature piece of the Tilley Row Homes is a white 12’ x 12’ bookcase that exudes a clean minimal aesthetic, using the homeowners’ own personal items styled with natural organic accents. Although the Tilley Row Homes share the same modern architectural exterior, the interiors are distinct because our goal is to always translate the homeowners’ personalities into their individual design aesthetic. This project features pre-specified builder finishes and is designed by the Michael Hsu Office of Architecture in the Mueller Development of Central Austin. Hsu’s Tilley Row Homes recently received a 2017 design award from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. This Austin project has been featured in Austin Home Magazine, Winter 2017.
